On Friday, Congress leaders led by PCC member Bathini Srinivas Rao filed a formal complaint at the Hanamkonda police station against former minister and BRS MLA K.T. Rama Rao, alleging that he made derogatory remarks against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. They urged the police to take immediate action and apprehend him. Srinivas Rao accused KTR of leveling unfounded accusations against the Chief Minister, claiming that he had allegedly collected Rs 2,500 crore from contractors and builders and transferred the funds to Delhi. Furthermore, he asserted that Rama Rao had insulted the Chief Minister by spreading misinformation.

Srinivas Rao contended that KTR was misleading the people of Telangana by disseminating false claims about Revanth Reddy’s purported intentions to join the BJP after the Lok Sabha elections. He criticized KTR for making baseless allegations without providing any proof or evidence, which could tarnish the Chief Minister’s reputation. Expressing concern over potential clashes between Congress and BRS workers fueled by these false allegations, Srinivas Rao emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order in the state. The Congress leaders formally lodged the complaint against KTR, urging the authorities to swiftly address the matter and take appropriate action.
