The impressive first-look teaser of Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited gangster drama ‘OG’ seems to have set up massive expectations in trade circles. The scintillating action-packed cut presenting Pawan as a ruthless and vengeful gangster shot the hype on film exponentially and resulted in a huge biz across all territories.
The makers, as per the latest reports, struck a handsome deal with renowned overseas distribution house, Phars Films. Reportedly, the theatrical rights of OG for overseas are snapped for a whopping 13 Crores. This is a massive deal considering that OG is a regional film that will be released only in Telugu. This is also the highest-ever deal for Pawan Kalyan’s films so far in overseas territory.
Even before the film’s shoot is half done, the craze for theatrical rights is a pointer towards the strong buzz surrounding this highly anticipated action saga.
Director Sujeeth should be credited for coming up with an amazing glimpse that is punctuated with adrenaline-pumping rushes from the story which is set in the backdrop of Mumbai.
OG is likely to be a record business in domestic territories as well because trade circles are betting big on the film.
DVV Danayya is bankrolling the film on a massive scale. Priyanka Arul Mohan and Emraan Hashmi play significant roles in the film. The release date is yet to be locked.
