Pawan Kalyan’s directors move on to other films

Thursday, November 21, 2024

Actor and politician Pawan Kalyan is failing to strike a balance between movies and politics. When busy with film shootings, he completely disowns political activities. And, when he dedicates time to politics, his producers will need to suffer because they are made to wait for an inordinate time to finish off his films.

As assembly elections are imminent in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan took a long break from his movies. Three of his upcoming films have been put on the back burner. Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Ustaad Bhagat Singh and OG were supposed to be completed in 2023 itself. But, they have been postponed indefinitely.

As there is no clarity on when Pawan will return to the sets to complete the pending activities, the directors of all these films have decided to take up new projects.

While Krishh completely distanced from Hari Hara Veera Mallu and started working on his next project, Harish Shankar left Ustaad Bhagat Singh for Ravi Teja’s Mr Bachchan. OG director Sujeeth, who waited patiently for Pawan all these days, has decided to move on to his new film with Nani.

Last year, Surender Reddy also announced a new film with Pawan Kalyan. As the start of this project hangs in the balance given Pawan’s busy schedule, the director is now planning to team up with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh for his next project.

So, all four directors who waited for Pawan Kalyan till now have started working on their new projects. This means Pawan might not immediately start shooting for his films after the completion of the Andhra elections.
