“The victory of the Jana Sena Party is a milestone in the political history of the country. We have written a new history by achieving a strike rate of 100% from no seat to one seat. Although Jana Sena is a regional party, it is a party with a strong national ideology,” said Jana Sena Party President and Deputy Chief Minister of the state Pawan Kalyan.
The party’s executive committee meeting was held on Thursday as part of the three-day wide-ranging meetings of the Jana Sena Party being held in Visakhapatnam. Stating that politics can be done only for a few days in the name of caste, religion and region, and that thousands of crores of money and fame are not enough to run a political party, he asserted that only anyone with a strong ideology and ideological strength can lead the party.
“A year has passed since the coalition government was formed. Many people are saying that we have not received any posts. We are forgetting our roots in the obsession with posts. It is not reasonable to forget the path of progress and take a side road,” he warned.
“I spent 15 years of my political life without holding office. I risked my personal life for politics. If I was in a strong party like the Bharatiya Janata Party, I would have gone to collect donations with a bag. That is not possible in the Jana Sena Party. I have to give the party ideological strength, financial strength, and the strength to fight on issues. I could not take the party forward even if I fought in three directions,” he recalled.
Pawan Kalyan said that the Jana Sena Party is the inspiration for the struggles. He expressed his grief over the allegations against him, saying that his situation in the Sugali Preethi case was like throwing stones at a tree that bears fruit. How can one blame those who helped him?, he asked.
He expressed anger that evidence was tampered with in the previous government. He said that law and order had deteriorated badly in the last five years and the coalition government had shouldered the responsibility of cleaning up such situations. The government’s mistakes are causing difficulties in the investigation of the case, he added.
Pawan Kalyan recalled that Visakhapatnam steel is the right of Andhras and three people from Telangana also died in the fight for Visakhapatnam steel, making it clear that it is the right of the people of a united Andhra Pradesh. He flagged that the person who won 151 seats did not take any steps in the previous government to stop the privatization of the steel plant.
He criticized attempts were made to deceive the leaders of the trade unions by saying that plots and coats would be given. He said that he informed Amit Shah that the steel plant is an emotional issue and the privatization was stopped with our efforts.
