Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan nominated Vallabhaneni Balashowry as its candidate for the Machilipatnam Lok Sabha seat, following his resignation from the YSR Congress Party. Balashowry, a two-time MP from Machilipatnam, left the YSRCP due to indications that he wouldn’t receive a party ticket for the upcoming elections, amidst strained relations with certain MLAs. Previously elected in 2019 under the YSRCP banner, he had also served as MP for Tenali in 2004 under the Congress. This announcement completes Jana Sena’s candidate selection for both Lok Sabha seats it’s contesting in alliance with the TDP and BJP.
