Paradha, featuring Anupama Parameswaran, Darshana Rajendran, and Sangitha, is rapidly becoming one of the most anticipated new releases in Telugu cinema. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, the film already made waves with its breathtaking teaser and emotive songs.
The trailer depicts Anupama as a determined woman from a pimple village who takes on an arduous trek to a holy shrine in the rugged landscapes of the Himalayas. Accompanied by Darshana and Sangitha, she has to brave not only the cruel terrain, but also the strict verdicts of society. Her choice of keeping her Paradha on becomes an issue of conflict, since most insist she take it off—yet she refuses to waver. An intense background associated with her village discloses her struggle to clear her name even when ostracized by her own community.
Among the most striking scenes from the trailer, is a stunning sequence in which Anupama is compared to Goddess Kali which is very very goosebump-inducing. Anupama imbues the character with power, conviction, and rock solid belief which makes her performance very strong.
With beautiful images of the Himalayans, glorious visual instincts, and an emotive Gopi Sundar background score, Paradha appears to be cine travel filled with heart, emotion, and motivation. The film is produced by Vijay Donkada, Sreenivasulu PV and Sridhar Makkuva, and will released in theatres on August 22nd 2025.
