Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani has earned another prestigious accolade in his distinguished career. Legendary music composer Keeravani was roped in for the Telangana state government anthem.
On Tuesday, MM Keeravani, along with renowned poet and lyricist Ande Sri and others, met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The state song, ‘Jaya Jayahe Telangana’, composed by Keeravani and penned by Indian poet Ande Sri, is all set to be unveiled on June 2, in celebration of Telangana State Formation Day.
This year’s June 2 marks the 10th anniversary of Telangana State Formation Day. In honor of this milestone, CM Revanth Reddy plans to have the ‘Jaya Jayahe Telangana’ song unveiled by INC President Sonia Gandhi.
The latest report reveals that CM Revanth Reddy decided to make ‘JayaJayahe Telangana’ the state anthem of Telangana, and efforts are being made to ensure this song is sung and performed in all schools and official events. The anthem is intended to honor the sacrifices made by martyrs for statehood as a dedication to the people of Telangana and to celebrate the rich culture of Telangana.
MM Keeravani garnered global acclaim for his ‘Naatu Naatu’ song from the blockbuster film ‘RRR’. The legendary composer is at the helm of Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ and the upcoming film ‘Love Me: If You Dare’.
