The MLAs, who are believed to be defected from BRS to the ruling Congress party, soon after last Assembly elections, are seen hardly being accepted by Congress leaders and cadre in their respective constituencies. This has been clearly reflected in Gadwal constituency, where Krishna Mohan Reddy was elected as BRS MLA, but soon defected to the Congress party.
The rebellion of the original Congress leaders against MLA Krishna Mohan Reddy in Gadwal is increasing day by day. As those who came from the BRS are dominating in this process, the original Congress leaders are expressing their impatience that injustice is being done to them, who have trusted the party from the beginning.
Congress leaders are challenging Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, saying, “What is your power over us coming from another party?” They are demanding that if he dares, he should resign and win without their help. They are angry at the insult to the original Congress leaders on the Praja Palana Day held on Wednesday.
Celebrations were held in Gadwal as part of the Praja Palana Day. On this occasion, state government’s official representative in New Delhi Jitender Reddy, MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, the Collector and the chairman of the local market committee were present as the chief guests. On this occasion, they were made to sit on the stage.
But Neeli Srinivas, the chairman of the district library, and Alampur Market Committee Chairman Doddappa were not invited to the stage. When they went up to the stage and tried to ask the officials, the police pushed them down. They expressed their grievances that despite trusting the Congress party, they were being treated unfairly by people from other parties.
They questioned why they were not given the opportunity to share the stage despite being in the ruling party? In this process, many original Congress leaders along with them revolted. The original Congress leaders demanded action against the MLA who insulted them. They staged a dharna in front of the Collector’s office to demand action against the Gadwal MLA.
