Mega heroes are struggling to impress moviegoers. After Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam starrer Bro tanked heavily at the box office, there were massive expectations for Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar. Unfortunately, the film ended as a colossal disaster in the first weekend itself. The film evaporated from theatres in no time. Both these big-ticket failures disappointed Mega fans big time.
Varun Tej’s latest offering Gandeevadhari Arjuna carried good hopes because of the impressive teasers and trailers. However, the film had a terrible opening in Telugu States and Overseas due to weak buzz among regular audiences. The Praveen Sattaru directional has been receiving outright disaster talk from the premiere shows itself. The first-day collections are very poor and point to a modest start at the box office.
As word of mouth and reviews are very discouraging, the film is likely to end as another loss venture for buyers. So, Mega heroes completed a hat-trick of flops in less than a month. All these three films are likely to result in a loss of around 130 Crores for buyers.
The only positive thing for Mega fans in recent times is Allu Arjun’s National Award for Pushpa. Next week, the teaser of Pawan Kalyan’s next film OG will be out in a week.
