‘Oh My Baby’ from Guntur Kaaram – Lacks Novelty

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s upcoming action entertainer Guntur Kaaram is his third collaboration with director Trivikram Srinivas after Athadu and Khaleja. Because of the heady combination, there are huge expectations for the film.

The first single Dum Masala, a typical hero introduction song with a thumping score and mass lyrics, received a decent response from music lovers after its release last month.

Now, the second song Oh My Baby, a melody featuring Mahesh and Sree Leela, is out this evening and it has a breezy tune with catchy lines. The song doesn’t give an instant high as expected by the fans because of the ordinary rendition.

SS Thaman renders a peppy and foot-tapping tune that suits the coffee-themed ambience, but doesn’t offer any thing new or extraordinary. Shilpa Rao mesmerizes with her sweet-sounding vocals which is saves the day.

Ramjogayya Sastry is second to none when it comes to writing lyrics for modern melody songs and he does his best. For this song, he gets good support from Trivikram Srinivas who added more spice with his signature style rhyming words.

Overall, Oh My Baby is a typical melody song without any novelty. It might appeal well with good onscreen visuals and beautiful chemistry between the lead pair.
