Pawan Kalyan’s most hyped original film under the direction of Sujeeth is under production. Tentatively titled ‘OG’, short for Original Gangster is an action thriller set in the period of 1980s and 90s with a Mumbai gang wars backdrop. PK will be seen as a full-fledged Martial Arts Professional after ‘Johnny’ and this is driving the fans crazy. Since then, there is no first look released from the project nor has the title been confirmed yet but the overseas rights were sold for a mammoth price. A renowned distribution agency bagged the overseas rights of OG for a whopping 18 crores of rupees, which is the highest for a single language release with a solo hero until now. Sources close to the makers depict that the prices were paid only banking on the craze of Pawan Kalyan alone but nothing else.
Written and Directed by Sujeeth, this movie is bankrolled by DVV Danayya and the team has completed 40% of its shoot. The team wants to complete and release this flick by this year’s end if possible. SS Thaman is scoring the music for this stylish action thriller.
