NTR has continued to take on only large-scale, high-profile projects. Following his hit Devara 1, the actor recently ventured into Bollywood with War 2. However, the film didn’t quite live up to the expectations of fans and critics alike.
Now, NTR is preparing for his next grand project, Dragon, helmed by KGF and Salaar star Prashanth Neel. The majority of the action elements of the film are being filmed in Karnataka, where NTR has a huge following. With his Kannada heritage and natural ease of speaking the language, NTR is poised to connect very intensely with the Kannada audience along with his loyal Telugu fanbase.
In an attempt to make the film more understandable to Kannada audiences, Prashanth Neel has roped Kantara star Rishab Shetty for a special guest role. It is said that Prashanth Neel personally invited Rishab for a flashback episode, and the actor agreed willingly as he is close friends with NTR.
For Dragon, NTR has been completely overhauled, looking leaner and meaner, which captures the high-octane personality his role requires. With a star cast in the form of Anil Kapoor, Tovino Thomas, and now Rishab Shetty, hopes are already running high for the movie.
Rukmini Vasanth will be seen as the female lead, and the film is a joint production between Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts. With Prashanth Neel at the helm and NTR in top form, Dragon is shaping up to be one of the biggest pan-India spectacles of the year.
