From North America to South India, NTR’s upcoming film ‘Devara’ is witnessing mind-boggling advance sales in every box office territory ahead of its humongous release on September 27th. The hype surrounding this project is unprecedented and trade circles are in a state of shock looking at the trend of ticket sales in both the Telugu states and North America. The occupancies in major territories like Nizam and Cedded are nothing short of sensation as many shows for the opening day in all leading centes are already sold out.
As per trade reports, Devara has surpassed the 50 Crore mark from its advances including domestic and overseas circuits three days in advance which is sensational trend. In North America, the Koratala Siva directional is set to embark on a record breaking start with more than $ 3.5 Million gross from its premieres and first day going by the current trend. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Devara will register biggest openings of all time due to the extra shows permissions and hikes in ticket prices. In neighbouring Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, Devara is poised to take a stunning start.
The North India openings will define the range of the openings for Devara. As of now trade circles are expecting that the film will start beyond 125 Crores gross on its first day and emerge as one of the biggest openers of all time in the history of Indian cinema. If Devara manages to garner decent word of mouth from early morning shows on Friday, it is going to be a box office rampage in all territories in the first weekend. The film is likely to topple numerous records all over the globe on the first day itself.
The fact that Devara is NTR’s immediate next film after RRR and the impressive promotional content seem to be working wonders at the box office. Without any pan-India directors like Rajamouli and Prashanth Neel, NTR’s Devara is riding on his own box office stamina and that too with a flop director Koratala Siva who is coming off a huge debacle Acharya with his previous film.
Devara is releasing in two parts. It stars Saif Ali Khan and Jahnvi Kapoor in prominent roles. Anirudh Ravichander scored the soundtrack and Ratnavelu cranked the camera.
