Popular film actor NTR, who is known as Junior NTR, who has been maintaining a certain distance with the Andhra Pradesh state government, though his own family members are at the helm of affairs, has extended his solidarity with the Telangana state government’s drive for a `Drugs free Telangana’.
He has called upon the youth to cooperate with the state government which is working towards a drug-free society. He expressed his concern that many youths are getting addicted to drugs and ruining their bright future. To this extent, NTR has released a special video on the X platform revealing that it is his responsibility to support the anti-narcotic team for a drug-free Telangana.
‘Life is precious, come join hands with me. The future of our country is in the hands of our youth,’ he said in a video released by NTRX. But he regretted that it is very sad that some people are attracted to drugs for temporary pleasure, to get rid of momentary stress or because of the influence of peers or for style.
If anyone is selling, buying or consuming drugs in the state, he advised to immediately inform the Anti-Narcotics Bureau. It is known that recently Chief Minister Revanth Reddy suggested that the film industry should participate in their awareness programmes on drugs and cybercrime menace in the state.
Moreover, the Chief Minister said that this will be the condition from the government side for those who come for permission to increase the ticket rates. He also suggested to film personalities to prepare and release a two-minute awareness video on drugs and cyber crimes with the actors in the film. He said that the film industry has the responsibility to protect society.
It is in this context that many movie stars have supported the state government for drug-free goals and coming forward to create awareness about drugs. Megastar Chiranjeevi, hero Vijay Devarakonda and senior actor Mohan Babu have also released similar videos supporting the anti-narcotic team for a drug-free Telangana. They advised the youth not to ruin their lives due to drugs. And asked the youth to be responsible and cooperate with the state government, advising ‘Say no to drugs’.
