Hyderabad: Bodduluri Yasasvi, a TDP NRI, was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (APCID) upon his arrival from the US at Shamshabad airport. Yasasvi, accused of posting on social media against Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, was taken to the CID headquarters in Mangalagiri.
TDP leaders, including Komati Jayaram and Nara Lokesh, condemned the arrest, alleging undemocratic practices by the YSR Congress government. Jayaram noted global condemnation by NRIs, urging Yasasvi’s immediate release. Lokesh accused the YSR Congress of treating TDP activists as terrorists and predicted the party’s eventual decline.
