After tasting a string of debacles post the success of Bheeshma in 2020, actor Nithiin is aiming for a strong comeback this year with his upcoming films. He is currently busy shooting for two films simultaneously. While one of these projects has retained the title of Pawan Kalyan’s iconic blockbuster ‘Thammudu’, the other film is interestingly named ‘Robinhood’.
On the eve of Nithiin’s birthday, the makers of Thammudu unveiled the first look poster this Saturday and it is intriguing enough to capture the attention of moviegoers. Sitting on the top of a worn-out bus in the backdrop of mountains, Nithiin appears in an intense avatar holding a spear-like weapon. We can see a village lady in the driver’s seat and some artists inside the bus with anxious faces.
The poster, which reeks of rustic vibes, suggests that Thammudu is going to be a rural entertainer with a blend of action and family drama. Nithiin appears in a complete mass character after a long time. The film has Kantara fame Saptami Gowda as the female lead. Yesteryear actress Laya is playing a significant role as Nithiin’s sister. Going by the title and the poster, it seems like Thammudu is about a brother’s challenging journey to save her sister from trouble.
Venu Sriram, who is known for films like Vakeel Saab, MCA and Oh My Friend, is the director for Thammudu. He was supposed to work with Allu Arjun for a film titled ICON. However, the project was shelved due to unknown reasons.
Anjaneesh Loknath, who made headlines with her background score in Kantara, is rendering the soundtrack for this film. Dil Raju is bankrolling the film.
