Nikhil’s ‘The India House’ glimpse : An Epic Patriotic Drama Unfolds

Monday, April 28, 2025

RRR actor Ram Charan and his close friend Vikram launched a new production ‘V Mega Pictures’ to encourage talented artists and technicians. They teamed up with ‘ The Kashmir Files’ and ‘Karthikeya-2’ producer Abhishek Agarwal to bankroll their maiden venture with talented actor Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead role. The motion poster of this interesting project is out this Sunday morning and it promises an epic patriotic drama based on legendary freedom fighter, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.

The film is titled ‘The India House’, which is named after the popular student residence in London where Indians started a revolution against British rule in India during the 1900s. This is where many anti-colonial newspapers were published during those days and Savarkar, with his ideologies, played an instrumental role in motivating Indians there to come together for the freedom struggle. The story of this film seems to be inspired by his journey and the events that unfolded there.

The one-and-a-half-minute glimpse has fleeting visuals of the scenes and paper clippings showing the protests undertaken by Indians in London. The historical buildings which were targeted during this revolution are also showcased in the video. Nikhil plays Shiva and Anupam Kher will be seen as Shyamji Krishna Varma, a lawyer who promoted nationalist views among Indian students there. Nikhil appears to be a perfect fit for this role and he is seen sporting a blazer and a hat with a briefcase in his hand.

The intriguing set-up, superlative camera work and brilliant background score make this a spectacular glimpse which is worth the hype that has been generated on this project over the past couple of days. The production values are majestic and superb. Going by this video, The Indian House is going to be an epic patriotic drama set in the backdrop of London.

Debutant director Ram Vamshi Krishna should be appreciated for selecting a subject that has the potential to resonate with pan-India audiences because it is billed as a forgotten chapter in Indian history. Cameron Bryson did a tremendous job with his cinematography.
