Nikhil ends tussle with producers , SPY to arrive on June 29

Monday, November 18, 2024

Actor Nikhil Siddhartha wanted his upcoming film ‘SPY’ to be postponed from June 29th for better output and also to promote extensively in North India. But, the producers were against his idea as they already struck a deal with the OTT partners and any change in the release date would impact the revenue earned through digital rights. So, Nikhil distanced himself from the promotions and he didn’t even complete the dubbing formalities.

Meanwhile, the makers have announced that SPY will hit the screens on June 29th as stated earlier. Nikhil was silent about the release date and didn’t endorse the producers’ plans. As rumours started to make rounds, Nikhil ended all suspense this Sunday evening by acknowledging the release date poster. He tweeted the poster and said ‘ Quality lock.. Target lock.. Spy lock.. June 29th in Theatres Worldwide’.

It looks like Nikhil has ended the tussle and decided not to go against the interests of his producers. He doesn’t want his image to take a beating at this point in his career. So, he seems to have decided to aggressively promote the film in the next ten days.

SPY is touted to be a gripping thriller that sheds light on the mysterious death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The teaser laced with grand production values received a thumping response from all quarters. It has Aishwarya Menon as the female lead. Garry BH is the director.
