Actor and Janasena party supremo Pawan Kalyan continue to make big strides in his political career in the aftermath of his historical 2024 elections in Andhra Pradesh. As a Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan has been playing a significant role in the governance of the state ever since the NDA government led by Chandrababu Naidu assumed power in June.
While his meteoric rise as a powerful politician is a reason for happiness for his fans, the uncertainty over the release of his long delayed movies continue to be a sign of worry. Three of his films have been put on the backburner due to his busy political assignments.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh, OG and Hari Hara Veera Mallu are in different stages of production. There is no clarity on when these three films will see the light of the day because there are still adequate portions of shooting part left to be completed by Pawan Kalyan. Despite the fact that the makers of these films are optimistic about Pawan’s return to the sets, there is no confirmation about when they be able to complete all formalities and release them.
In the meantime, the production house of ‘OG’ seems to have decided to offer a new year treat for Pawan Kalyan’s fans. Director Sujeeth is reportedly planning to unveil the first single of OG on January 1st on the eve of New Year. SS Thaman is said to be working on the song and an official update about this news will be made next month.
OG is touted to be a gangster drama set in the backdrop of Mumbai. Imran Hashmi is playing the role of an antagonist and Priyanka Arul Mohan is the female lead. DVV Danayya is bankrolling the film. The shooting formalities are on the verge of completion but the release date depends on Pawan Kalyan’s availability.
