Nellore Mayor Sravanthi and her husband Potluri Jayavardhan have announced their resignation from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Addressing the media, Sravanthi expressed gratitude to Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy for his support in her political journey. She credited Sridhar Reddy for her rise in politics, noting that he encouraged her to become a corporator despite her lack of a political background.
Sravanthi expressed regret over not being able to support Sridhar Reddy when he left the YSRCP, citing various pressures. She acknowledged that Sridhar Reddy had not insisted on their loyalty to the party. “We appeal to Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy to forgive us with a big heart for what has happened and accept us,” she said.
