Amaravati: The CID has submitted a plea to the Vijayawada ACB court, seeking authorization to apprehend TDP youth leader Nara Lokesh. The petition alleges that Lokesh has been intimidating the police investigators by claiming to have documented their names in the Red Book. The CID’s representative informed the court that, Lokesh has been threatening to dismiss investigating officers associated with cases in Chandrababu skill development case mand imprison them.
Upon questioning by the court about evidence supporting these claims, the CID lawyer presented newspaper clippings. Lokesh has been issued a notice under Section 41A of the IRR case and is currently under interrogation. However, the CID is seeking permission to arrest Lokesh for violating court regulations and emphasized the need to take the Red Book warnings seriously.
