His latest film Saripodhaa Sanivaram, which opened during a non-holiday season, is having an impressive run at the box office in all territories. While the domestic revenues are so-so because of the incessant rains in Telugu States, the overseas numbers are simply outstanding.
In USA, which is one of the strongest areas for Nani due to his stupendous track record, Saripodhaa Sanivaram emerged as blockbuster in just three days. Even before completing the weekend, the Vivek Athreya directional touched the break-even mark in North America with over $ 1.5 Million gross by the end of Saturday.
As per trade reports, Saripodhaa Sanivaram amassed $ 350K on Saturday and breached the $ 1.5 million mark to emerge as a profitable venture for its buyers. It will soon surpass the prestigious $2 million mark in a couple of days.
Saripodhaa Sanivaram took a flying start at the box office with $ 551K haul from Wednesday premieres. On its first day, the action entertainer clocked $ 318K due to decent reviews and positive word of mouth. On Friday, the film remained solid with another similar show as it grossed $ 318K. With Saturday’s stunning show, Saripodhaa Sanivaram turned out to be a hit film for Nani.
Nani now have 4 films in the $ 1.5 million club. His promising selection of scripts and directors coupled with versatile acting skills made him a favourite actor among medium range stars.
Saripodhaa Sanivaram is about a conflict between a hot-headed police officer played by SJ Suryah and a raging young man Surya. Priyanka Arul Mohan is the female lead. DVV Danayya bankrolled the film.
