Actor Nani, who has steadily advanced in his career by choosing diverse roles and stories, recently reflected on his early days in the industry. Before making his mark as a leading actor, Nani began his career as an assistant director. He recalled how he landed his first opportunity as a clap assistant for Radha Gopalam under the direction of Bapu, after waiting outside the director’s office for over a year.
“I believed that if I made an impression, directors would remember me. To make that happen, I waited outside Bapu sir’s office every day at 9 AM, sitting on the chairs and waiting for them to come out. Sometimes, I waited until 7 PM. During that time, I had a bit of a belly, but by waiting like this, I ended up losing all of it. I stayed hidden during lunch hours so that no one would see me. I did this for one and a half years. Eventually, Bapu sir gave me the opportunity to work as a clap assistant for Radha Gopalam. That opportunity was a milestone for me. I will never forget starting my career from his school,” Nani shared in a recent interview.
Regarding his upcoming films, Nani is set to appear in HIT: The Third Case, directed by Shailesh Kolanu. The film, part of the HIT series, is slated for release on May 1, with Nani playing the role of Arjun Sarkar, a police officer. Sreeleela stars opposite him in the film. Following HIT: The Third Case, Nani will also feature in Paradise, directed by Sreekanth Odela.
