Natural Star Nani’s upcoming emotional drama ‘Hi Nanna’ has been generating strong buzz in Tollywood circles. The film, which was initially scheduled for release on December 22nd, has been preponed to December 7th to avoid a clash with Salaar.
Luckily, films like Operation Valentine and Gangs Of Godavari which were initially slated to vie with Hi Nanna got deferred, leaving Nani with a big chance to take a strong opening as Nithiin’s Extra Ordinary Man is not carrying much buzz.
However, Nani will now face a significant threat from Bollywood biggie Animal. Though Ranbir Kapoor hasn’t got a big market in Telugu, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga carries a solid following among our audiences because his debut film Arjun Reddy left a strong impact at the box office.
The buzz on Animal got much bigger after the release of the theatrical trailer because of the unanimous response from all quarters. Trade circles are expecting that Animal will take a terrific opening in the Telugu States.
Going by the trailer, Animal will be a hard-hitting emotional fare with adequate commercial elements. On the other side, Hi Nanna appears to be a classy entertainer which will appeal largely to family audiences.
Animal will hit the screens on December 1st. If it manages to get a positive talk, the box office numbers will be mind-blowing in the first weekend. And, it will potentially impact the openings of Hi Nanna as well.
