Nag’s classic set for re-release on his Bday

Re-releasing blockbuster films of their star heroes is a trend started by Telugu cinephiles. After stars like Charan, NTR, Prabhas, Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu, it is Akkineni Nagarjuna’s turn to embark on this crazy trend with his iconic hit Manmadhudu.

On the eve of Nag’s birthday this 29th, Manmadhudu will hit the screens all over Telugu States and some overseas locations. Annapurna Studios has officially announced this news that has brought a lot of cheer to Akkineni fans. This is the first film of Nagarjuna to have a re-release after this new tradition was started last year. Some of the blockbuster films like Pokiri, Kushi, Simhadri, Okkadu etc have already received a thumping response from moviegoers in their second release.

Manmadhudu is a romantic comedy starring Sonali Bendre and Anshu as female leads. Nag portrayed two different shades in this cult classic. He turns a misogynist after getting cheated by his first love. The unbridled comedy coupled with strong dose of emotion proved to be a big plus for this film.

Directed by Vijay Bhaskar, Manmadhudu has its dialogues by Trivikram Srinivas. Devi Sri Prasad handed a chartbuster album for this film. Annapurna Studios banner has bankrolled the film.
