Earlier, there were speculations that seasoned Tollywood actor Akkineni Nagarjuna will play a crucial role in Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming action saga under the direction of hotshot filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj who hogged the limelight with blockbuster movie ‘Vikram’.
On the eve of Nagarjuna’s birthday today on August 29th, the makers of Coolie dropped a massive surprise by making these rumours into reality. It is now official that Nag is on board for this crazy film. He joined the ensemble cast and commenced shooting for the film.
The surprise poster of King Nagarjuna as Simon has him in a striking avatar with a dapper look and inimitable swag. The sunglasses and a golden strapped watch makes the poster more sumptuous. What connects Dayal (Malayam actor Shoubin) and Simon are the golden watches. It is to be noted that the announcement poster of Coolie too had a watch dial in the background.
The shoot of Coolie is currently taking place in Visakhapatnam. Scenes featuring Rajinikanth, Shruti Haasan and Nagarjuna are being filmed. Produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie is Rajini’s 171st film and will hit the screens for the summer of 2025.
