Almost a year after his last release, The Ghost, seasoned Tollywood actor Akkineni Nagarjuna is set to make an official announcement about his next project. This will be the 99th film in Nag’s career and popular choreographer Vijay Binni is going to make his directional debut. Naa Saami Ranga is the tentative title for this film.
On Tuesday morning, the first look poster will be out at 10:27 a.m. on the eve of Nag’s birthday. A pre-look poster with a rural backdrop featuring a cycle and a blood-soaked sickle hanging loosely from it is out. The caption reads ‘King Ostunnadu’.
Nag initially wanted to launch writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada as a director with this film. However, some creative differences with the writer made him change his mind after a lot of discussions. It is going to be an official remake of the Malayalam period drama Porinju Mariam Jose.
Reportedly, this film will be launched shortly and the regular shooting will commence simultaneously. It is heard that Nag is planning to complete the film in less than three months and release it for Sankranthi 2024.
Previously, Nag’s hit films Soggade Chinni Nayana and Banggaraju released during Sankranti and emerged as big hits. So, he is once again targeting the festival season with this film.
