Nagarjuna Delighted with Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel Success

Friday, March 28, 2025

Nagarjuna expressed his immense joy over the success of his son Naga Chaitanya’s latest film, Thandel. During the Thendel success meet, he reflected on how the film’s triumph had stirred up even more happiness among fans than within their own family.

“It’s truly heartwarming to see the success of this film. Thandel released on the 7th of this month, and on the same day, we were in Delhi meeting with Prime Minister Modi. Our phones were taken away for security reasons. Had I kept mine, I would have checked for updates on Chaitanya’s reaction. As soon as we stepped out, I turned my phone on and received two calls—one saying ‘Congrats Appa’ and another saying ‘Congrats Daddy.’ The flood of messages from fans made me realize just how much our fans and well-wishers were thrilled. After so long, I had to make sure to attend this success meet,” Nagarjuna shared.

Prior to his speech, a montage of Nagarjuna’s past films, featuring romantic scenes, played. Laughing, he remarked, “You shouldn’t be showing these videos in front of my son and daughter-in-law!”

### **“You Gave Us Three Hits”: Nagarjuna**

Nagarjuna reflected on key moments connected to the film’s success, saying, “When Aravind garu first heard this story, it was a special moment. Choosing Chandu as the director was another. Selecting Chaitanya as the lead was yet another important moment. And then, Chaitanya marrying Sobhita—these were all milestones related to the film.”

He also praised the long-standing partnership with Aravind garu, noting, “Aravind garu was the first producer to enter the ₹100 crore club with Ghajini and later brought us hits like 100% Love, Most Eligible Bachelor, and now Thandel. The Allu and Akkineni families have great luck. Though I haven’t worked with director Chandu yet, I’ve always known of his talent. He has brought out the best in Chaitanya with Thandel. As always, Sai Pallavi’s dance is a treat.”

“My Most Loved, Yet Toughest Journey”: Naga Chaitanya

Naga Chaitanya expressed deep gratitude to the Thandel team, sharing, “This has been one of my most cherished yet challenging journeys. When Karthik and Chandu narrated the story, I was instantly drawn to it. As part of the research, we visited Srikakulam, and that’s when I realized just how tough this journey would be. It made me truly appreciate the level of responsibility involved. Roles like this are rare, and I was determined to make it a success.”
