The Malayalam survival thriller ‘Manjummel Boys’ was the biggest blockbuster in Malayalam cinemas and the highest-grossing Malayalam film. The film has grossed 240 crore globally and crossed the 200 crore mark. The film has received immense praise and applause from many celebrities, including Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey and director Anurag Kashyap. Now, actresses Mrunal Thakur and Sobhita Dhulipala have also joined the list.
Initially released on February 22, the film had a successful theatrical run before making its highly anticipated premiere on the OTT platform on May 5. Several actors, including Mrunal Thakur, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Sushanth, took to their social media handles to praise the film.
Actress Mrunal took to her Instagram handle and wrote, “WHAT A FILM, OMG Rollercoaster ride of emotions! You boys absolutely nailed it. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew.”
Taking to her Instagram, Made in Heaven actor Sobhita Dhulipala wrote, “Mind blown from Manjummel Boys! A sensory roller coaster, to put it subtly. Take a bow! Chidambaram W.O.W. and Incredible cast.”
Tollywood actor Sushanth also praised the Malayalam survival thriller and called it a “Rollercoaster Experience.”
Speaking more about the film, ‘Manjummel Boys’ is based on true events in 2006 when a group of friends went to Guna Caves and how they fought the odds to save that one friend who went missing. The film was helmed by Chidambaram S. Poduval and backed by Parava Films. The film stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi, Khalid Rahman, Jean Paul Lal, and Deepak Parambol.
