Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s daughter Vismaya is set to make her silver screen debut with the film Thudakkam. Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner, the film marks Vismaya’s formal entry into the film industry. Confirming the news on social media platform X, Mohanlal wrote, “Dear Mayakutty, Thudakkam may be your first step, but it’s the beginning of a lifelong bond with cinema.”
Director Jude Anthany Joseph, known for successful films like Sara’s and 2018, brings added anticipation to the project. While more details about Thudakkam are expected to be revealed soon, Vismaya’s entry has already generated significant buzz in Malayalam cinema circles. With a keen interest in storytelling, her debut is being closely watched, and speculation is rife about the kind of subject she has chosen to begin her acting journey.
Vismaya, who is active on Instagram, often shares family moments and travel updates. She previously faced weight-related challenges and drew praise for shedding 22 kilograms through consistent effort. She has also undergone martial arts training at Fitco, Thailand. Meanwhile, both Mohanlal and his son Pranav continue to be busy with multiple film projects. Mohanlal recently starred in Empuraan and Thudharam, while Pranav is currently working on Dies Irae, directed by Bramayugam filmmaker Rahul Sadasivan.
