Hyderabad: Amidst the unfolding Delhi liquor scam saga, it has come to light that Kavita, currently under ED custody, is undergoing interrogation by the authorities. Simultaneously, Kavita has retracted the writ petition she previously lodged in the Supreme Court contesting the ED’s summons. This petition, filed on March 14 last year, has now been withdrawn.
During today’s proceedings in the Supreme Court, Kavita’s attorney, Vikram Choudhary, argued against the necessity of further inquiry into the writ petition, leading to its withdrawal. Consequently, the bench, comprised of Justice Bela Trivedi and Justice Pankaj Mittal, accepted the withdrawal of the petition. Meanwhile, another petition challenging the legality of Kavita’s ED arrest is under consideration in the Supreme Court.
