Hyderabad: K. Kavitha, a leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), announced her intention to meet Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan soon to request a judicial inquiry into corruption allegations against M. Mahender Reddy, the newly appointed Chairman of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC).
Addressing a press conference in Banjara Hills on Thursday, February 8, Kavitha accused Reddy of corruption and emphasized the need for an impartial investigation. She urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to uphold his promises, highlighting discrepancies between his commitments to job creation and the appointment of M. Mahender Reddy. Kavitha insisted on Reddy’s immediate removal from the post of chairman and called for a thorough judicial inquiry to ascertain the validity of the allegations.
Further criticizing the chief minister, Kavitha admonished him for taking undue credit for job opportunities provided by the previous government, contrasting the limited notifications for job vacancies issued under the current administration. She demanded transparency regarding the number of jobs available under the current regime.
