A Rouse Avenue Court in New Delhi extended the judicial remand of BRS MLC K. Kavitha until June 3. Kavitha, currently held in Tihar Jail, was arrested on March 15, 2024, in connection with the Delhi liquor scam and has been in judicial remand since. She appeared before the court virtually from prison on Monday.
The case was initially registered and investigated by the CBI, with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) later conducting a detailed investigation based on the CBI’s FIR. The ED arrested Kavitha on March 15, 2024, from her residence in Banjara Hills, and the CBI subsequently arrested her on April 11, 2024. On Friday, BRS leaders RS Praveen Kumar and Balka Suman visited Kavitha during ‘mulakath’ at Tihar Jail.
