Mirai Villain Role Was Initially Offered to This Hero

Teja Sajja, who began his career as a kid actor, became a lead with Zombie Reddy and subsequently a Pan-India star with HanuMan. The young actor has already given two pan-India blockbusters and earned appreciation for his zeal and dedication towards the world of cinema.

Having played a superhero in HanuMan, Teja has now evolved into a super warrior in Mirai. The film is directed by master cinematographer Karthik Gattamaneni, who makes a big-screen debut and entered the theatres around the globe on September 12. Made to open together in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, the film has stunned trade analysts with its startling box office collection and is now running full steam ahead as one of the season’s biggest blockbusters.

While Teja’s heroic act has registered with the audience, it’s Manchu Manoj’s villainous avatar that has been the buzzword. His intense screen presence and overbearing performance have found universal appreciation, and most fans and critics believe that it was only he who could have carried the character so well.

Interestingly, this pivotal role was not written for Manoj originally. Reports indicate that Sundeep Kishan was approached first for the role of the villain. Both Teja and Kartik wanted him in the film, and although Sundeep liked the character, commitments elsewhere compelled him to turn down the role.

That turn of events worked in Manoj’s favor. He grabbed the chance with both hands and gave one of his best performances to date, recapturing the spotlight and infusing new strength into his career.
