The highly anticipated fantasy adventure film Mirai, starring young actors Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj, has opened to a massive response at the box office. The production company officially reported that the film collected ₹27.20 crore worldwide on its first day. Teja Sajja expressed his excitement over the success, saying, “I will forever be indebted to your love. This is history, this is the future, this is Mirai.” The film’s strong opening reflects the high expectations it carried prior to release.
Mirai has also garnered significant attention overseas, earning $700,000 on its opening day. The film’s visual effects have been widely praised on social media, with both audiences and celebrities highlighting the meticulous frame-by-frame work. Producer Vishwaprasad lauded the VFX team for delivering sharp, blur-free visuals, while Teja Sajja, who turned down several offers after his previous hit Hanu-Man, dedicated himself fully to this project, further elevating anticipation and excitement among fans.
Directed by Kartik Ghattamneni, Mirai features Teja as a super warrior and Manchu Manoj in the role of Mahaveer Lama. The story revolves around an ordinary young man who discovers his duty, ventures to prevent a major calamity, fulfills his mother’s wishes, and embarks on a journey to seek answers rooted in epic legends. Both performances, along with the film’s technical brilliance, have contributed to its strong reception among audiences nationwide.
