The TDP alliance in Andhra Pradesh has promised free travel for women in RTC buses as a key election pledge. State Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy addressed this initiative, announcing that free bus travel for women will commence soon, with an official announcement forthcoming. He assured that the scheme will be implemented transparently and efficiently, without causing any inconvenience.
Reddy noted that similar free bus travel schemes for women are in place in Karnataka and Telangana, and emphasized that measures will be taken to avoid any shortcomings experienced in those states. The state government, transport department, and APSRTC will coordinate to ensure smooth implementation.
Expressing gratitude, Reddy thanked CM Chandrababu Naidu and TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh for the opportunity to serve as minister. He pledged to work diligently and avoid any errors in his department. Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy officially assumed his ministerial role today.
