Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar strongly criticized the central government, accusing it of behaving like a dictatorship. He expressed his concerns during a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, highlighting the suspension of MPs who inquire about parliamentary security. Prabhakar alleged that the accused individuals received passes based on recommendations from a BJP MP, and he asserted that the BJP was attempting to shield them from scrutiny.

The minister questioned the lack of action against the perpetrators even a week after the incident and called for an investigation into Parliament’s security. He demanded the lifting of suspensions imposed on opposition MPs. Addressing BJP leaders, Prabhakar emphasized the changed government landscape, urging them to recognize the shift.

He challenged claims of a golden rule in the past, questioning the necessity for people to await public validation if such a rule had truly been implemented. The minister expressed confidence that the Congress would fulfill its promises, reassuring that there was no reason for doubt.
