Warangal: Endowments Minister Konda Surekha has instructed the temple authorities to meticulously organize and provide comprehensive facilities for the convenience of devotees attending the Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Jatara, commencing from Sankranti in the Inavolu mandal within the Wardhannapet Assembly constituency.
Scheduled to run for three months until Ugadi, the Inavolu Jatara anticipates a large influx of visitors and devotees from across the state. Special prayers will be conducted for the presiding deities on significant occasions such as Medaram Jatara and festivals during this period. Addressing the challenges faced by devotees, including a lack of toilets, drinking water facilities, bathing ghats, and accommodations like permanent shelters, VIP cottages, or dormitories for extended stays, Minister Surekha conducted a review meeting.
The meeting, attended by MLA K.R. Nagaraju, District Collector Siktha Patnaik, and temple authorities, focused on arrangements for the jatara and developmental initiatives at the shrine. Minister Surekha emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness on the temple premises and urged officials to establish separate queue lines for elderly and pregnant women.
