Nalgonda: In the Nalgonda district, the BRS secured only one seat, and Minister Komatireddy VenkatReddy claimed that Jagadish Reddy would have faced a 70,000-vote deficit if they had campaigned. Despite this, he asserted a moral victory with 12 seats. During a media address on Monday, VenkatReddy heavily criticized Jagadish Reddy, accusing him of plundering the Yadadri power plant. He also claimed that the previous BRS government had undertaken unnecessary projects like the Kaleswaram project in north Telangana, leaving areas like Suryapet without adequate drinking water, including Musi water.
VenkatReddy argued that the BRS had inflicted great injustice on the combined Nalgonda district, citing the SLBC project’s paralysis and holding KCR responsible for the looming shadow of drought in the region. He criticized Jagadish Reddy for never reviewing irrigation projects during his tenure as minister, emphasizing that it had not even been two months since their arrival in power. VenkatReddy questioned Jagadish Reddy’s commitment to addressing issues and claimed that it was during KCR’s tenure that projects were transferred to KRMB.
