Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Minister Gudivada Amarnath responded to the Supreme Court verdict in Chandrababu’s case, noting that Chandrababu did not receive any relief. Minister Amarnath criticized certain media channels for celebrating what they claimed as Chandrababu’s success, highlighting the ongoing inquiry into Section 17A and questioning its applicability to Chandrababu. He emphasized the differences of opinion between the two judges regarding Section 17A.
Minister Amarnath recalled argument that Section 8 was in force in cash-for-vote case.. He accused Chandrababu of being a bail-out thief, alleging atrocities and corruption during his tenure. Minister Amarnath cautioned that Chandrababu would face consequences in the court of public opinion, emphasizing the absence of a denial of wrongdoing.
In addition, Minister Gudivada Amarnath strongly criticized the appointment of YS Sharmila as the President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Party. He questioned the relevance of appointing leaders for a party with minimal influence in the state, asserting that YS Sharmila’s impact is negligible.
