Megastar approves the costliest film of his career

Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi is on a signing spree. He is hardly taking any breaks despite his jam-packed schedule due to multiple commitments. Having simultaneously worked on God Father and Waltair Veerayya last year, Chiru immediately shifted his attention towards Bholaa Shankar this year. He is now getting ready to kick start his next project with Banggaraju fame director Kalyan Krishna. This project is likely to roll out in August.

Meanwhile, Chiru seems to have green signalled the costliest film of his career. As per the latest reports, Mallidi Vasistha who made a stupendous feature film debut with Kalyan Ram’s period spectacle Bimbisara is set to call shots for Chiru’s next film. Reportedly, it is going to be a period drama that will be made on a staggering budget by renowned production house UV Creations. Though this project has been in the news for the past few months, Chiru has approved it just recently.

After winning brownie points with his engaging presentation in Bimbisara, which emerged as the biggest hit in Kalyan Ram’s career, Vasistha was flooded with numerous offers. He was supposed to work on the sequel to Bimbisara. However, some creative differences with Kalyan Ram forced Vasistha to ditch the idea and take up an ambitious project with Chiranjeevi.

It is believed that Vasistha has readied an engrossing period drama that will be on the lines of Chiru’s iconic blockbuster Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. The budget will be a notch higher than SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy which is the costliest film in Chiru’s career till now. The regular shooting will commence in the Summer of next year.
