Legendary actors like Kamal Haasan, Mammooty, and Mohan Lal are coming together to enthrall audiences with their upcoming series ‘Manorathangal’. These icons of Indian cinema are collaborating on the highly anticipated anthology film penned by the legendary writer MT Vasudevan Nair.
The filmmakers of ‘Manorathangal’ unveiled the trailer on July 15 at a special launch event celebrating the renowned writer’s 91st birthday.
The trailer begins with Kamal Haasan stating, “In all things of nature, there is something of marvelous. Later, he continues in Malayalam, “MT sir is synonymous with the modernity of Malayalam literature.” The trailer then showcases glimpses of each series based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s stories.
The series ‘Manorathangal’ features a collection of nine stories written by Nair, helmed by eight directors, and Priya Darshanserves as the showrunner. The stellar star-studded cast includes Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohan Lal, Fahadh Fasil, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Harish Uthaman, Biju Menon, Shanti Krishna, Joy Mathew, Madhoo, Asif Ali, Nadiya Moidu, Kailash, Naseer, Aparna Balamurali, Ann Augustine, Durga Krishna, Siddique, Surabhi Lakshmi, and many others.
The series is backed by Vikram Mehra, Siddharth Anand Kumar, Rohandeep Singh, Rajesh Kejriwal, and Jay Pandya under the production house of Saregama India Ltd. Fans are eagerly anticipating the series release to witness the legendary actors’ performances and their powerhouse of talent, set to premiere on Zee 5 on August 15.
