‘Mangalavaram’ Trailer – Dark and Eerie

RX 100 director Ajay Bhupathi is coming up with a gripping rustic thriller Mangalavaram, which stars Payal Rajput in a narrative-carrying role with many other actors in significant characters. After raising eyebrows with an intriguing teaser, the makers unveiled the theatrical trailer of Mangalavaram this Sunday and it promises a dark and eerie thriller with interesting premise and spooky elements.

Close to three minutes in duration, the trailer opens up in a beautiful village in which everyone is on the edge because of bizarre incidents. The villagers are shocked by the bold writings on the walls, which reveal a few extra-marital affairs and persons involved in them. Very soon, the village starts witnessing strange happenings every Tuesday due to untimely deaths. A character says that deaths occur on the favourite day of a village goddess. But, the reasons are unfathomable.

In the next portions, we get to see Payal Rajput making an entry as a village belle. Like RX 100, Mangalavaram also presents her as a bold character as she doesn’t shy away from doing hot romantic scenes with her boyfriend. This is followed by more anticipation of disaster in the village due to unknown reasons.

All in all, the trailer, without revealing what the plot is all about, manages to keep the viewers on the edge of their seats because of its suspenseful story and terrific screenplay. The visuals are very nifty and the terrific background score by Anjaneesh Loknath adds more substance to the proceedings. It looks like Ajay Bhupathi has a dark and eerie thriller with Mangalavaram.

A joint production venture between Swathi Reddy Gunupati, Suresh Varma and Ajay Bhupathi, the film, also featuring Krishna Chaitanya, Rao Ramesh, Nanditha Swetha, Shravan Reddy, Ajay Ghosh, Azmal, Ravindra Vijay, Sri Tej, and Divya Pillai in supporting roles, will be simultaneously released in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on November 17th.
