Manchu Vishnu’s Magnum Opus ‘Kannappa’ is a star-studded film with many renowned actors like Prabhas, Manchu Vishnu, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Sarath Kumar, Mohan Babu, Shiva Rajkumar, Preity Mukundan, Madhubala, Brahmanandam, and many others.
Ever since Manchu Vishnu released the teaser of the mythological film ‘Kannappa’, his dream project, excitement has risen, thanks to its stellar cast and Sheldon Chau’s cinematic visuals.
Adding to the anticipation, the filmmakers of this much-anticipated film are aiming for a December 2024 release, although no official announcement has been made yet. If confirmed, ‘Kannappa’ will compete with Allu Arjun’s pan-world film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, slated for a theatrical release on December 6.
‘Kannappa’ is a dream project for Manchu Vishnu, who takes on the lead role, portraying the film’s titular character, a devoted follower of Lord Ram. The earlier released trailer highlights Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as Lord Siva and also offers glimpses of Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohan Babu, and Sarath Kumar. However, Prabhas’ role has not been revealed in the teaser.
Mukesh Kumar Singh, renowned for directing the iconic mythological series ‘Mahabharatam’, is at the helm of this project. Mohan Babu is producing with a high budget under the banners of 24 Frames Factory and Ava Entertainments. Mani Sharma and Stephan Devassy are composing the musical tunes.
Slated for a pan-Indian release, the film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Stay tuned for further updates on this prestigious project.
