Manchu Vishnu is set to realize his pet project “Kannappa” — a large-scale Pan-India mythological action drama creating huge buzz all over the country. Originally aimed for release on April 2025, the makers of the film have now formally fixed the new release date: June 27, 2025.
The highly-awaited update followed after Manchu Vishnu, who was with his father Mohan Babu, visited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this high-profile meeting, the release date of Kannappa was revealed, sending fans into a frenzy.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa is being made on a big scale under the illustrious banners of 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment. The movie boasts a cast of powerhouse stars like Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal, making it one of the most star-studded ventures in recent history.
Hyped as a mythological epic, Kannappa weaves together spiritual undertones, gritty storytelling, and high-octane visuals. It’s being filmed with a Pan-India audience in consideration and will release in several languages to reach maximum people.
Added to the glory is the movie’s soul-stirring score, written by Stephen Devassy and Mani Sharma, to deliver an emotionally charged and engaging experience for the audience.
With its June 27 release date now officially confirmed, Kannappa is set to be one of the largest cinematic events of 2025 — a spectacle of visuals and emotions that audiences nationwide won’t want to miss.
