Actor Manchu Vishnu recently provided insights into his upcoming mythological film Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, in an interview with veteran producer Tammareddy Bharadwaja. Vishnu revealed that the film’s budget has nearly doubled from the initial estimate of under ₹100 crore. The story, originally narrated by Tanikella Bharani in 2014, was developed further with the help of international experts. Encouraged by Bharani and his father Mohan Babu, Vishnu took the project forward with a vision to create a grand cinematic experience. He also credited Mukesh Kumar Singh, known for his work on Mahabharat, as the ideal director to do justice to the film.
Vishnu highlighted the significance of Prabhas’ role in Kannappa, calling it a milestone in the actor’s career. He shared that a key emotional scene between Prabhas and Mohan Babu will resonate strongly with audiences. Addressing the production delays, Vishnu admitted that hiring an inexperienced VFX artist caused setbacks but assured that the team is now working diligently to complete the film. He emphasized their commitment to delivering a high-quality project despite the challenges.
