Hyderabad: BRS leader and former Minister Malla Reddy has refuted rumors suggesting his departure from the party. Malla Reddy met BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) to clarify his recent meeting with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s advisor, Vem Narender Reddy, which fueled speculation of a potential shift to the Congress along with his son Bhadra Reddy. Accompanied by his son Bhadra Reddy, Malla Reddy affirmed that they had no intentions of joining the Congress or contesting Lok Sabha elections from Malkajgiri constituency.
He clarified that his meeting with Vem Narender Reddy pertained to issues concerning the demolition of colleges owned by his son-in-law and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy. Despite previous statements indicating Bhadra Reddy’s willingness to contest, he has since communicated his lack of plans for electoral participation to the party leadership.
