Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram has him playing an ultra-mass character as Ramana who hails from Guntur and doesn’t give a damn about anyone. This is the first time after a long time Mahesh appeared in such a rough character with mass mannerisms.
In almost every poster of Guntur Kaaram that was unveiled during the promotions, Mahesh Babu was seen smoking a cigar or a beedi. He did this after a long time. Even in the film, the audience gets to see him doing this quite often like a chain smoker. The mandatory statutory warning for smoking and drinking scenes appears regularly because there are many such scenes.
Mahesh Babu usually refrains from promoting alcohol usage in his films. But, Guntur Kaaram was a departure and everyone was surprised about it.
Speaking about the smoking scenes in this Trivikram Srinivas directional, Mahesh Babu in his latest interview said that the beedis he smoked in Guntur Kaaram were made of organic cloves and not the regular ones made with Tobacco.
He categorically stated that he doesn’t smoke nor encourage anyone to do it.
Mahesh said he is very happy with his onscreen performance in Guntur Kaaram and stated that the film is performing very well in all territories.
