Mahesh Babu behind Trivikram giving up his ‘A’ sentiment

Director Trivikram Srinivas has cultivated a taste to choose titles starting with ‘A’ for his films. He previously followed that sentiment for Agnyathavaasi, Attarintiki Daredi, Ala Vaikunthaporramuloo, Aravinda Sametha, and A… Aa films. The sentiment mostly worked for him because all films except Agnyathavaasi emerged as blockbuster hits at the box office. So, everyone expected him to carry the same sentiment for his upcoming film with Superstar Mahesh Babu.

As speculated, titles like Ayodhya lo Arjunudu, Amaravati ki Atu Itu and Aarambham were initially considered by Trivikram for SSMB28. Quite surprisingly, Guntur Kaaram is the title that is finalized for this much-anticipated film. While many feel that Trivikram chose this title because it suits the story, there is another reason behind its selection.

Mahesh Babu felt that a mass title like Guntur Kaaram will appeal more and create a strong buzz for the film instead of going with a poetic title in Trivikram’s style. Mahesh insisted Trivikram to give up his sentiment this time and concentrate more on the story and other aspects of the film instead of looking for a title starting with ‘A’.

Guntur Kaaram is slated for release on January 13th, 2024. It stars Pooja Hegde and Sree Leela as the female leads.
