AP PCC president YS Sharmila continues her bus tour in Kadapa district, where an intriguing incident unfolded in Duvvur today. During Sharmila’s speech, some of Jagan’s supporters began chanting slogans.
Addressing the crowd, Sharmila invited a young man among those chanting ‘Jai Jagan’ to express his views. Handing him the microphone, she encouraged him to explain why people should vote for Jagan.
After a brief search for the microphone, Obul Reddy, a young man, greeted Sharmila and praised Jagan, highlighting his dedication to the welfare of the people. Reddy recounted Jagan’s commitment to walking 3,000 kilometers, addressing people’s grievances, and delivering on his promises. He credited Jagan for the welfare schemes benefiting families in the region.
Following Reddy’s speech, Sharmila took the microphone and responded emphatically to Jagan’s supporters. She questioned whether they had fulfilled all the promises made, reminding them of her own support for Jagan in the past. Sharmila criticized Jagan’s failure to implement promises, including the assurance of special category status and a complete ban on alcohol sales.
She lamented the current administration’s decision to sell liquor, particularly noting its adverse effects on public health. Despite Jagan’s assurances, Sharmila highlighted the government’s involvement in the sale of substandard liquor, which has reportedly led to health issues among a significant portion of the population.
